Example: If you are ordering equipment for a 100 unit property and are using 1 meter per unit, you will need 100 transceivers.

The Next Century Submetering system is an advanced utility metering solution designed to accurately measure and monitor individual energy usage within multi-tenant buildings, such as apartment complexes, commercial properties, or condominiums. Here’s an overview of its key features and functionalities:

  1. Individual Metering: The system incorporates individual meters installed for each tenant or unit within the building. These meters track electricity, water, gas, or other utilities used by each tenant separately.
  2. Data Collection: The submetering system collects usage data from each individual meter in real-time or at regular intervals. This data is crucial for accurately assessing consumption patterns and billing tenants accordingly.
  3. Remote Monitoring: Utilizing advanced technologies, such as wireless communication or IoT (Internet of Things), the system allows for remote monitoring of energy usage. Property managers or utility providers can access this data from a centralized platform without physically accessing each meter.
  4. Billing Accuracy: By accurately measuring and tracking individual energy consumption, the submetering system ensures fair and precise billing for each tenant based on their actual usage. This promotes transparency and helps prevent disputes over utility charges.
  5. Energy Management: The system often includes features for energy management and conservation. Property managers can analyze usage data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, implement conservation measures, and optimize overall energy usage within the building.
  6. Tenant Engagement: Some submetering systems offer tenant-facing interfaces or apps that allow residents to monitor their own energy usage in real-time. This promotes awareness and encourages tenants to adopt more energy-efficient behaviors, leading to potential cost savings and environmental benefits.
  7. Compliance and Reporting: The system may also assist property owners in meeting regulatory requirements related to utility metering and reporting. It can generate comprehensive reports on energy usage, compliance with energy efficiency standards, and other relevant metrics.
  8. Integration Capabilities: Depending on the provider, the submetering system may offer integration with other building management or automation systems, allowing for seamless data sharing and interoperability.

Overall, Next Century Submetering system provides a comprehensive solution for accurate utility metering, data management, and energy optimization within multi-tenant buildings, ultimately benefiting both property owners and tenants alike.
